I see they chose to model the post-war version of the station.  The current renovation will restore the station to its original pre-war state- and let me tell you, it's going to be spectacular- I was there last month, and though much is still behind scaffolding, the exposed portions gleam with copper sheathing.

I don't think they're restoring it to pre-war completely.. The pre-war version had 3 floors, the current one has 2. They will be going back to the pre-war domes however.

I have to say, while interesting, the kit's details are not very good, especially not for that price.
