interesting the aero train using ground effect wing to levitate.

looks like it has a ways to go and may go the way of the old hovercraft aerotrains...

a real passenger one must require some massive wide track?

look forward to see what they can do with this, though i think by the time they get anything going a new technology will have already surpassed it.

Mean while the chuo shinkansen (581km/h maglev) is looking a definate go ahead late next year/early 2014.

Though i read an article stating they were hoping to advance that???

I know what i'll be doing in 2025. btw that project is costing 9trillion yen Jr are claiming by 2026 they will have made 70 trillion yen off it thats just crazy.

They also claim 67 minutes tokyo to osaka when it's complete!!!

I can't believe how many years and how much money was spent on research on a train that has a turning radius of 6 miles. Seriously, how does an 85 long aerotrain make a 5 degree alteration in its trajectory? Tell ya what, when they can claim Osaka to London in 67 minutes then we'll talk ^_^

I hope they don't consider developing a "sub-no-train"

Cheers
