not sure how many people have known of this one before but when I came across it I thought I had to post it just for humor

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurobe_Gorge_Railway

a Z scale motorized chassis with a new styrene/brass body painted in that orange shade would be almost right there for Nn3 scale on a normal N scale layout, what you think?

Interesting ... a tin, copper or coal mine is on my list to do "one day".  Probably will be Nn3.  But seriously, it is years away.

Cheers

very nice, was amazed how detailed and reasonably priced the kit is. had me tempted for a second! figure it would be fun with some little gondolas to have it in a factory complex pulling in and out of a warehouse with a load of metal or something and into another. cute scene animation possibilities!

cheers
