I heard that after retirement, the Tokyu Deha 70 went to a line in Shizuoka. Anyone know which line it is?

Thanks,
Best wishes,
Grant

Grant,

Even with regauging (the DeHas were 1372mm gauge) I can't think of a single operator in the whole of Shizuoka Prefecture which would find an use for what were already very old cars when they were retired. Especially cars wired for 600V DC. Unless someone was/is planning a line (for tourist use) somewhere...

Cheers NB

I know Tokyu DEHA 80's were rebuilt to form the 600 Type for Enoden, but that's probably one of the very few Tokyu Tamaden trains that were transfered to another company. The DEHA 60 types were all scrapped.

Thanks, Tony and Nick, but I remember reading about it a couple of years ago and used to have it saved. I went to a very small line and I think was the only equipment used. Can't seem to google it anymore.
