I'm not sure which railway this is, but its interesting nonetheless. Where else would you find a ballast train with an operator in full uniform including white gloves? And those growling gears!!

Bill, it's the Ichibata Electric Railway in Shimane Prefecture. These two motors were used in the film "Railways".

Edit: I wonder if these two cars made the cast list in the end credits? After all, their roles were just as important (if not more, depending on one's point of view...) as those of the human actors...
