Does anyone have any sound files in Japanese? I am thinking of "the doors are closing" "The train is arriving" etc.

I am headed to YouTube to scavenge if I have no luck here.

These would be going into a Loksound decoder, but I believe that different formats can be converted.

Thank you for anything you might have,
Bob

unfortunately not really much to go around in regards to station music or train announcements.

here is a start with some station music recordings and in trains

http://pixy.issp.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~ueta/index-e.html english page no need to translate. but i think it's missing some content compared to the japanese version.

True, but it's only Shinkansen, not really suitable for regular train operations.

This one is a bit better for these kind of purposes: http://hassya.net/kaisha/keio/keio.php It's mainly focus is on Keio trains, but the station list is more extensive (including stations from other companies as well).
