I have had a break from the Z gauge Nickel plate Road 2-8-4 Berkshire for a bit as we have three model railway exhibitions quite close together culminating in Zedex 2011 the other weekend. With only Hull show to go this autumn I have started again on the loco with a view to having it finished soon. I spent last weekend superdetailing the tender up to the point where it needs the rivets.



the detailing consisted of things like hand rails, air reservoirs, brake cylinders etc and you will get a better idea from the video



the plan with the rivets is to use the 'Archer' waterslide ones which are tiny resin rivets on a waterslide backing sheet. Applied to the primed model they will give a good impression even if the spacing is not accurate
