Martijn,

LOL i had a flash of a mental picture of you sitting in the tub with a big bubble bath and the wind up floating shinkansens flopping around you!

since i was a kid i have collected wind up toys. i use to have one in my pocket usually at school to fiddle with to keep me out of trouble. for graduation at high school all my friends chipped in and bought me 50 of the little silver, blue domed topped robots so we could do mass invasions! in grad school the big party thing at like 3am was to dump out boxes of these and everyone would be on the floor playing like 7 year olds (well drunk ones)! i have hundreds of different now and have to be careful not to keep picking them up, i was sorely tempted by these water windups as they are pretty exotic combination, swimming shinkansens!

cheers

Another example of how trains are a part of every aspect of Japanese life.

If I can find some of these while I'm in Japan I might be tempted to visit a bath house.
