Anyone know where I can get a new drive shaft for my SD40-2  new type as I broke the one in my loco. I already looked on the American Kato site but they don't have any. So I am open to ideas.

chances are it's used on another model good luck in finding though or maybe try emailing kato usa

I am not familiar with the Kato SD mechanism. Would these splines be what you need?

HI all thanks for your replies phoned Kato USA today and they managed to find one for me and they are going to send it free of charge to the UK, it doesn't get any better than that cheers KATO.
