Hi, has anyone put a decoder in one of these? If so what did you put in and was it difficult?

Spiff - Could you post a photo of the interior of your E1? Most Kato trains are very similar in design which makes it easy to install a decoder. Also what decoder do you plan on using?
Do you just want to do the motor install or are you planning on doing the head and tail car lights too?

I have the Tomix version of the E1 and it was a hard install, I wished I had the Kato version.

Hi Bernard, I haven't received the train yet. Hopefully it will arrive in a week or two. I'll probably use a Digitrax DZ 125.
