I've got a trix BR 58.
It WAS my favorite tender loco.
Because of my Glaskasten issue, I tried to pull a rod pin.
I pulled the rear wheel apart, now I can't quarter it.
Don't do it!!

Pulled the wheel apart? As in, you pulled a wheel off its axle when trying to pull out the rod pin?

I know Trix has had quality control issues for a while, but being able to pull a wheel off its axle, that's no good ;)

I've pulled apart my share of steamers, and it doesn't happen often that I can't get it back together again. The biggest issue is normally re-aligned the wheels.

Thanks,
I got it back together, but yeah... The wheel pulled off the axle. It was about 3am after working on the units for 7 hrs, soooo....
With a fresh mind, it went back together fine.
Turns out the pins on are the same on the 2 german steamers.
