I have the same feelings, caused by too long winters up here. The green on the trees and grass is so refreshing, despite the heat and wet.

...
jappomania,

Come treno giapponese ami?
(What kind of Japanese train do you like?)

correct translation
quale tipo di treno giapponese ti piace?

don't worry, I know is really hard to write/speak correctly in italian because you have to much terms to define a single thing (for example in english you can use "kind", in italian you have more than 10 terms to explain the same
an example...
http://translate.google.it/?hl=it&tab=wT#en|it|kind

e adesso la mia risposta
and now my reply

http://picasaweb.google.com/massimo.biolcati/Collection02#
(già pubblicate in http://www.jnsforum.com/index.php/topic,2306.50.html )

I like Shinkansen and the old type maroon electric locomotive because they are similar to oldest italian locomotive
(for example ED18, EF58 EF15 and more, I have the complete Microace collection  )
but not only, in my collection I have a lot of trains, you can see some photos
(already published in http://www.jnsforum.com/index.php/topic,2306.50.html )
now I'm falling in love with Kubiki Railway and I'm searching more information

I hope that the double reply help you with your italian language study (but I'm not 100% sure about my english..)

teacher > maestro (for kids and boys until 15 years old, first and second scholastic period - scuola elementare, scuola media)
teacher > professore (for boys over 15 years and young man third scolastic period and university - scuola superiore, università)

precettore is a really old term that nobody use today (in the past was a private teacher for people with a lot of money that can study outside of public school)

Tsubame > Rondine
Hayabusa > Falco
and more...

in Italy only a little group of locomotive recived an animal nickname in the past

E652 tigrone (big tiger) is like the E633 but much powerfull
E656 caimano (cayman)

Ciao, mio professore(?) italiano.
Hi, my Italian teacher.

I read in Japanese page that 11 E.626s(?) is still running
in preservation(?)/conservation(?) railway.

It' s amazing for Japanese railroad fans!

Only steam locomotives are running as preservation/conservation trains in Japan.
I think EF58 and 20 series should be preserved/conserved.
489 series that I like, too.

We call "light green version of blue train like old Tsubame with EF58"
"Aodaisho(one of snakes name, just a nickname)" in Japanese.

Some Italian locomotives had animal nickname!

Non so scrivere ancora in italiano difficile. Mi dispiace.
I can' t still write in difficult Italian. I' m sorry.

Hi!
Ok professore is correct (but is too much for me  mine is only a little help - like a Senpai?)

Yes, we have (for now, another 4 are under restoration) 11 E626 ready to run, including the E626 001, the first of 14 prototype group (built in 1927, and rebuilt after WW2 destruction)
It run for 72 years regular service and after disbanding and big restoration still running with special trains!
In addicton you can find around 25-30 (I'm not sure) E626 preserved in static place, some from private owner because in Italy, if you want and if you have money and space, you can buy withdrawn trains.
A restaurant owner near my city have one E626 and one 835 steam loco preserved outside, near the car parking
(BTW you pay the loco like recycled iron, depend of total weight so one old electric loco cost around 10-12000 euro, like my Toyota Yaris  )
let me know if you like this
http://www.rotaie.it/New%20Pages/Stoccarda_2009/ASN-E626Mario.jpg
http://www.rotaie.it/New%20Pages/Stoccarda_2009/TelaioE626Mario3.jpg
unfortunatelly is only available like brass kit for ASN members, it's in N gauge!

http://www.rotaie.it/New% 20Pages/Stoccarda_2009/ASN-E626Mario.jpg
http://www.rotaie.it/New% 20Pages/Stoccarda_2009/TelaioE626Mario3.jpg

ciao
Massimo

p.s.
dont' worry, I'm sure in the future you will write in italian correctly, let me know if you want I continue to write my reply in both language and don't forget that sometime the literal translation is not 100% correct
es. ready to run > pronto a correre, but in italian is better expression "in ordine di marcia"
