I started to build a layout to get used to unitrack and to get back into building.  Here are some pics below.  I'm intending it to be British outline, as I do have a pile of stuff.. its a simple double track roundy-roundy but I do have some limited staging out back.  I built it on a standard door and as you can see am in the middle of scenery

Pictures

1. The overall layout

2. The tunnel mouths, There will be a roadbridge here, I painted where the road will go (in grey) but this isn't the road surface, it just gives me an idea of what it'll be like.

3. Carboard webbing that will support the platform surfaces.

4. The back of the layout showing the staging

I'm hoping to take this to local shows when it is done.

Nice work! I never was webbing like that before to support the layout. Is the design so you can vary the terrain between the tracks?

The webbing is actually to support the cardboard station platform surface, The shape of the platform was so odd that I found it easier to build the edges, then put supports between them to make it sturdy.  I stil have to cut the surfaces and make sure the clearances work but its coming on.

Nice! These exhibition-style layouts always look like fun, but we don't have any local exhibitions...

The tracks have a really great natural flow to it! Very nice indeed!
