My little Japanese Layout

Hello,

here I would like to introduce my Japanese model railway.

She was trying for exhibitions and to the methods and materials used. It was built with Tomix track fintrack.
The dimensions are: 1,35 m x 0,65 m

a look at the photos and say what you think:)

I will begin with the track plan and the first sample set of tracks






continue with the construction of rice fields:






and the closure of the construction of the plateau and the bon odori festival

This is really quite beautifull. You also know how to take a picture. How long did it take you complete?

 Facts:

Size of plant: 1,30 m x 0,65 m, maximala height of 0.35 m
Gleismaterial: Tomix, including 4 switches and about 3m fertiggleise
Landscaping: Woodland, scrub, Polak, Faller, Tomix / Tomytec and yet
Building: Tomix / Tomytec
Gleisgebundenes Accessories: Greenmax, Tomix / Tomytec and Kato
Accessories: Viessmann, Busch, and Tomix
Figures: Tomix / Tomytec (so a total of around 80-90 pieces, are still lacking, I 36, the yet to be set)

Others:
1 roll of toilet paper
2 750ml bottles of wood glue
300 Coffee Sticks
3 / 4 liters of paint (all colors combined)
2m cable
2m ² Polystyrene
and wood for the substructure

: total cost 700-800 €

Looks like an accomplished piece of work Shinji and I really like the lighting too.  My only comment would be about your colouring of the rails, and I am sorry but this is a real bug bear of mine, they look rather orange in your pictures, I have seen many rails this colour on models, but never in real life!  In real life they are always darker and grimier, would you consider giving them a couple of washes with a darker colour to make them more "real"?

I am very impressed with your use of ground cover materials, they look very realistic, and so nice to see a good mix of colours and textures.  Also the station area looks really well modelled, good use of figures and a really nice station building.

I was looking at this layout earlier, on one of the links posted on the other thread, and it's very impressive. Despite the amount of track in the small space, it doesn't feel crowded.  I think the reason is the fairly "open" town scene in the foreground, which draws the eye, causing the hills and track to form a backdrop.

I really like the scenery, and the detail in the town.  Lots of little "scenes" that provide something to look at make this an interesting layout.
