I've got a new post on my blog wherein I install a function-decoder into a KANO24-500 baggage/generator car to control the markerlights and signboard! This is a very easy conversion, but you must be comfortable with your soldering iron, else you risk a meltdown of the undercarriage!

Make sure you don’t lose the red lightpipe, though: It loves to fall out when you aren’t looking.

I meant to use a little white glue to keep it from happening again, but forgot by the time I was re-assembling it.
