MicroAce just did a re-release of the 8000 series, but that one is terribly expensive. The older release is basically the same, but costed a lot less thanks to to Yavianice!

I got the Micro Ace A6661 Kintetsu 23000 Ise Shima Liner the other day to keep my Tomix 92500 Kintetsu 50000 Shimakaze (which I got last christmas) some company. Looks great with interior lighting. Here is a quick video. Note that the light looks a lot brighter than it actually is. Probably because the rest of the room is kept a bit darker. Still playing around with the video and i'm hardly a professional.

Great video man! It sure looks nice! Interesting your tracks and trains are in great condition there's almost no light flickering!

It is a herculean effort to keep them clean of kittyfluff.

 

I plan to light all my trains. It just looks soooo much better. And I'm (currently) still 38 lights short.

 

 

I broke a small peg which holds the coupler on the motor car during defluffing 😞

Well my AmiAmi May preorder finally got here today, it had been languishing for a while due to some Greenmax scenery detail items that ultimately got transferred to my June preorder. It seems to be a bit of a trend of late where a number of items have had their release dates rescheduled and it holds up the rest of the order for a few weeks before they decide to move those items. The main thing that frustrates me is I size up my orders depending on how big the largest item is, if I have bulky items such as train cases I tend to add other bulky items to the order as I know I will have to pay a decent amount for shipping. Anyway enough with my bitching and onto the photos.

I just received a small package too. I'm quite pleased with the books - lots of detail photos, diagrams, scratchbuilding instructions/guides, etc... and one of the bridge diagrams is of the design used on several bridges on the Aizu Line.

 

Haven't opened the package yet but the precoloured Greenmax signals look quite nice.

I wondered about cab ends too but not seen anything on youtube with those cabs as the front car.  Time to do some searching.  Your Kintetsu fleet is almost complete. 🙂

The original 21000 Urban Liners were equipped to be run as two car trains during quiet times.  A six car train could be split into two two-car trains with two spare intermediate cars. The trains proved popular and this feature was not repeated in subsequent orders from 1988.

I got those from Hobby Search and plazajapan on eBay.

 

Even incl. shipping and customs still cheaper than my local hobby shop.

Thanks!  They used to be available for around $30 here but lately all the US sellers seem to have raised their prices by over 50%.

Considering how long it has taken Greenmax to release this model it was for a while deemed as as a rumor.
