The tie tamper looks like an Trenitalia thing with that colour.

Very true! However I think I’d like one!

Any ideas as to minimum radius?

Snagged a lone KuMoHa from a Kato Panorama Express Alps set which popped up on ebay. Somewhat hopeful more of the set will appear, judging by the seller's other listings they bought a random job lot.

Saw this on eBay last week.  Had a "Make Offer" button.  So I put in an offer 15% less than he was asking with free shipping (was inside the US).  The guy accepted.   Came today thanks to the USPS.   The cardboard sleeve has a few wear marks but the actual book case and the engines look almost new (if not new).  They are very nice and run well, and the inside is non DCC but modern and should be a piece of cake to put a decoder in.    More like the non DCC EMU power cars with the plastic tab holding the motor tabs down on the power rails.

These came a couple days ago.  From Bob the Train Guy.  Really small LEDs (using SMD components) already wired with resistors.   When Is start adding decoders to things, I'll have them if I can find a place to use such small ones...

Nice find!  I used to not like them, but the ef58s are growing on me.   Let me know if you ever get tired of them.

Bob is a great seller, I get most of my decoders from him these days.  He gives the best deals I've seen yet.

I picked up an item or two today...  What a deal!  Glad I picked up so many kato coupler sets a month or two ago, lots of conversions to do!  Anyone know where to find spare Tomix TN coupler springs?

The EF58 was a bit early for me but I warmed up to it.   Now to get some appropriate wagons.   Not necessarily prototypical (these are abnormal EF58s anyway) but ones that look good and like they fit.

Bob seems to be a good guy.  Got some digitrax stationary decoders from him on eBay.   Now l get his newsletter which is how I found the LEDs

Got some roadway and bus station all ready to go! Guess I just need some cars to go along with this!

That's amazing! Can I ask where you got these Road Plates? They seem to be self-made products, i'm guessing you got them from Yahoo Auctions?

A couple of new busses, too! @JR 500系

Nice! One can never have too many buses! I can only imagine how long you have hawk-eyed on Yahoo Auctions to secure those hard to get buses, especially the Tobu special 5-bus set! Envy!

I ordered a couple packages myself, had a few springs go flying across the room at warp 8 while converting my Koki fleet to TN couplers.

I went to the Trains and Planes Exhibit today and I knew there wouldn't be any vendors there but yet I came home with these.  One of the many blessings of having developed relationships with fellow Model Railroaders in the area has been getting some good deals on trains, actually this is just a bonus - getting to hang out with like minded folks like Sam (Kiha66) Brad (nscalestation) and Paul (Railtunes) to run and talk about trains is the true blessing.

This is the one I picked up: https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/u182851118

It's double sided for twice as much fun, and comes with double sided backgrounds, too! I'd be willing to bet you guys could find at least one or more auctions for it. It was rolled, wrapped, and packed very well in what looks like a custom box, and was probably the best-packed thing I've ever received from Yahoo Auctions.

My personal plans for it are to scan it onto my computer, and modify them images. Once they're printed out I'll be able to paste over the sidewalk areas with actual plastic tile to make raised sidewalk.

Oh, and of course Amazon Japan doesn't directly sell Kato 22-012 power packs anymore, or at least, not at the moment... Yay :sad1: ... So much for 3,004 Yen power packs... Does anyone else have them for cheap?

Those are some very new things you got, @JR 500系! The Marine Liner, JR Tokai 313 series, Fukutetsu, Hiroden! I'm seriously starting to consider getting the blue Marine Linere set as well...

Go get it! The Marine Liner seriously looks really good! The 313 was sitting there in the sales corner and it's pretty sad to see a basic set with motor like the 313 with no love for it in the sales section....

Pretty sweet!!! Love those platform doors! What are you planning on doing with them?

Initially I planned to install it on the platform... and then I realise, it was only for 4-door types commuter trains... that would make the platform kinda strange for regular trains... Also, it makes the platform covered up and hence defeated the purpose of the hard work of sticking the platform with the commuters and detailing...

I hope you guys all have a happy Easter, if you celebrate that

Not starting off that way.  We got home from my parent's house late last night and I forgot to put out the Easter stuff.   My 10 year old daughter is still a "believer".   Trying to figure out something now.

In other news I won a Hanshin 2000 6 car set, basically new, Greenmax, on eBay for about 1/2 what Hobby Search had it listed at when it was available.   More for my Kansai collection.
