Can someone please tell me what is the difference between the Kato  22-211 and 22-213 light kit?I have the 213 in my E655 and it looks great.

Check you part numbers. I'm pretty sure you mean 11-209, 11-211 and/or 11-213.

Anyway I'm not 100% on the difference, but I'll try to share my take:-

11-209, older led design.

11-211, new design with thinner clear section, spreads light more evenly, white led.

11-213, same as above but has blub colour moreso than led colour, so a hint of yellow in it?

Ups. I did buy the 11-212 set, so the 11-211 is in my E655. That's great news, since I was hoping to get more yellow ones that fit in my 0-2000, since they didn't use halogen lights back than, so it will fit better with her headlights, and the 11-204 I use now are terrible.

Sascha,

When you say terrible do you mean flickering? or just the color is terrible.

If it`s flickering then there's flickering in the new ones too but the newer release models are made a bit better than older ones so easier to get a good install.

It`s all about a good install and with kato design it is hard to get perfect.

My suggestion is to look under the carriage where the trucks pickups hit the brass strip.

If there is 2 strips (not including the led lighting strip make sure you get the led strip between the 2 for best contact.

if there is 1 only try to make minimum changes to the strip to make sure good contact and under carriage has good pressure with the contacts.

I was told by a friend he used some sort of silver paste or silver glue underneath to make sure the contact was good.

No idea on this though cteno4 usually knows about that sort of stuff.

It doesn't flicker to bad. The problem is, that the light is strong at the beginning of the strip, but fades into darkness at the end of the wagon, and its a real dark yellowish light. The 11-211 has an even light from the beginning to the end.
