Thanks for sharing.  They seemed to concerntrate more on the retail sector and surrounding building than anything really station related.  I was in the station about 10 days ago.  The Marunouchi Exit and buildings are beautiful.  You'll get a stiff neck looking up at the dome.  They did a great job.  The Yaesu Eixt is just you typical modern glass and concrete.  They didn't show any footage of this exit.

I stay at the Marunouchi Hotel when in Tokyo and use the entrance with the dome.  I cannot fathom how a documentary on Tokyo Station could leave this important building out.

I believe the Yaesu side exit was just recently completely remodeled, with a new canopy roof on the entrance itself. The station has an amazing amount of shopping even after the ticket gates, a testimony to its importance as a Shinkansen terminal.
