Harumi RR bridge

I wondered if anyone recognized the origins of this bridge, as it would be ideal for modeling the Harumi bridge?

I found a photo of the Harumi bridge in use, and you can see what it used to look like across the channel.

I had thought the road bridges next to it were quite recent, but apparently not.

I also found this image, and am guessing it's roughly 1955.  Can anyone confirm or deny?

Charles,

Looks like a scratch built to me. It is close to the faller arch bridge

Also is the kibri that has some truss work across the arch

There is the tomix bridge, but its not a high arch

Not a lot of great choices for n scale arch girder bridges out there. Might look at a small HO bridge that might do as a larger n scal bridge

Hmmm . . . it isn't the Faller, as it's too short, high, and the chord is wrong - and the Tomix isn't even a contender.

The Kibri does have some possibilities, as the curve of the chord is about right, although if it is he's removed the top chord, and changed the deck and the railing.

However, I can't justify the number of hangers.  His model has 12, and the Kibri bridge has 19.  I don't see how he could have cut some out and still maintained regular spacing.  It could be based on a long discontinued product, which is why I was asking if anyone recognized it.

However, if you look at the far end of his bridge, it looks like there is some chord cutting through the deck.

One thing I like about his bridge (Kibri or not) is the way the arch flows onto the deck, as on the proto.

If it is the Kibri, he might have removed the trusses connecting the arches, as you'll notice the hangers aren't parallel.

Walthers lists it as 14" long, so that seems reasonable.

The proto has 11 hangers, so cutting every other one out of the Kibri might work for me.

I had seen the Kibri before, but not considered it due to the dissimilarities.

Thanks for mentioning it, as it's placed it in a new perspective for my purposes.
