fun subway entrance art

Recommended Posts

Is it just me, or does that look more like a whale than a shark?

Cool idea, but the Japanese would probably do something soft and cuddly, rather than a shark.  Sharks aren't cute. :)

Unfortunately my subway station lacks an entrance (which must really annoy the people on the platform, since the last train was months ago). But it's a neat detail nonetheless. Building art (as opposed to graffiti) doesn't get modeled very often, and it really should for a modern urban environment.

A huge Totoro statue with open mouth.. That's what the Japanese would do =)

Subway entrances here can be hidden between shops, just as a small shop can be hidden between the shops. A good example is near Tobu Asakusa station of the Ginza line. When I'm near it again, I'll take a picture of it.
