interesting idea for train transport cases

Ok heres an interesting idea for carting around trains from the august issue of Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine (the free pdf train mag) -- use a gun case! there are some inexpensive blow moulded ones for $30 or so that are long and thin for long rows of cars and come with foam padding. just add some little strips of foam to keep the rows of cars straight. in a rifle case you can get quite a few cars in there. actually nice for many 6-8 car trains that would fit in a 48" gun case as a whole consist in one row. Just might get stopped by security carrying one of these!

 

btw the MRHM is pretty good pub, usually at least one useful thing per issue to noodle on.

I could envision a spoof commercial or comedy skit centered around this idea, though it would likely test the boundaries of good taste, given recent events.
