tomytech tm03 - tm-01 question

Hello,

 

wondering if anyone can give me a height measurement of these units.

 

I'm hoping no more than 18mm from the base of the chassis to the top of the motor.

 

trainweb org was awesome for finding the perfect length unit though.

thanks bill i know thats where i found a matching length. but i need the height as i have max 18mm but more likely 17-16mm.

After some digging I`ve got a TM-03.  With a ruler its about 20mm high(wheel to top) at the weight and the top of the motor. From the floor of the chassis (above the wheels that is) its 16mm over the top of the motor.

rarely see tomytec mechanisms pop up on ebay, usually just when released thru the usual japanese train ebay sellers, but then seem to go away like at the hobby shops.

 

probably on yahoo.jp, but it will cost you some.

yeah our friends at ripoffmerchants.com/newhall have it for some $50 us + shipping

that may be his biz model, mark it up 2-3x and pick up a few folks who dont know they can get it cheaper when its in stock elsewhere but at those prices then the stock sits for a couple of years until its OOS everywhere else and then the desperate will shell out the price to have it at that point.
