August for the expansion sets, the new E233 in Chou and Joban line are set for June. Already ordered them. I am disappointed that the expansion set C they have omitted the siding and the extended platform. Both sets look VERY spartan. Also no word yet on individual tracks for sale. Tokyo-Murai state that the X-over can be replaced with two straight sections, and that the expansion sets can take a second power pack so that you can run two trains at the same time.

Well, te expansion sets were suppose to be out in April and here we are June and HS has ye to get them in. Looks like Tokyo-Marui really had some issues with getting these things out.

As to their train sets, they have a pretty aggressive release schedule for this fall with quite a few new train including a steamer. Wonder what the chances are that these will come out on time considering the diorama has been delayed as bad as it has. Also the word on the lists are that the steamer won't be able to run on the diorama.

So far I have not seen any info on the two proposed steamers from Pro-Z. The only announcements I saw at Shizouka Hobby Show were from Tenshodo (Heaven prize hall) on the Crown (PRMLoco) Booth and that was the D51 models in type styles with tender drive and operating valve gear. The specifications for these two engines was 195mm minimum radius. They were shown with the Crown model of EF-64 along with tank cars, to be released next week and general service 2 axle box cars and a container flats both of which no release date was given. Crown was also showing a 30 x 50cm layout designed for starter in Z with minimal basic scenery but containing a bridge, a station, overhead poles a tunnel on one corner and an oval of track the radius was not specified. The track bridge and station along with the power pack were all from RealZJ. They had the EF-64 running on it and it was pulling a string of tank and box cars around the layout.

cheers
