Yard lights- colour?

Simple question, I hope.

Looking at some yard lights for my tram depot. Just wanted to know which is more common in Japan -White lights or Yellow (imitating Sodium lights.)

Or, grab the white ones and a bit of transparent orange paint. Then paint the white ones with as much or as little transparent orange to add a more yellow-ish color.

 

(I tend to do this with the white LED's in Tomix lighting kit)

There does not seem to be a standard in Japan. Some street lighting is white, some is yellow. Most station lights are white, but I must confess I couldn't tell you about the yards. It seems that each place does its own thing so either is fine if you are not modelling a specific location!
