Car Configuration Question

I've clearly missed something here, so I thoguht I'd post this to verify or dismiss what I may or may not know about the classification of train set consists.

 

Can someone explain what the definitions of, KIHA, MOHA, MOBO and etc...

A detailed list will have to wait (I'm about to eat lunch!), but in short, the first syllable (or two) describes the kind of car:

KI = diesel motorized, MO=electric motorized, SA=trailer, KU=cab car; with passenger cars, it describes the weight of the car.

The final syllable (or two) describes the accommodation kind: HA=regular, class RO=green car, NE=sleeper; also, FU at the end means there is a brakeman's compartment.

Ok, that's what I thoguht, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out the what each syllable stood for.

Dave Fossett has a great chart on the Yaho Groups JTrain group explaining all the possible syllables. You have to join Yahoo and then the JTrain group to see it. I'm going to work on reproducing it here, in several posts later this week. I suppose I should get permission first...
