how to fill in the cracks on my tram board?

As you know I am building my tram layout  the track is Tomix Mini with the Tram track extras. I used foam board to level up the surrounding surfaces to the road level.

There are some gaps where the foam board does not match up properly. I need a filler that will work between the foam core sheets and the Plastic Road - any suggestions please. Idea's from Claude and others in the UK especially welcome.

What I do is use Hydrocal cloth to join the board together and once it sets, then I used either lite spackle over the cloth or "sculpt-a-mold" which is a paper mache type of material which will add texture to the ground cover.

You can also help your self out if you are doing a more scenic look by adding a brown paint sand and some pva glue to make a more dirt looking colour to it. not worth doing for city though as yours will be
