Hello there. How did you remove the existing number on the Tomix cars you renumbered?

I use the dry transfers that come with a number of Tomix sets, the Koki 106, 107, 50000 and Taki 1000 models fitted with taillights have a sheet with 10 different numbers, some of the limited edition sets such as the 2 Car Taki 1000's with case and the 12 car Koki 50000 set and the soon to released 4 Car Koki 107 Seino Kangaroo Liner also have decal sheets inside them so you can renumber cars.

I now have 46 trains, plus many trams. This list focuses on the basic sets. I only have room to run 6 or 7 cars maximum, but I do have several trains that can be up to 10 cars including  a Sagami 11000, Yamanote line E231,  Chuo Line series 101 and 103 and a Odakyu VSE 50000. My ideal train is closer to 3-4 cars.   I also have a couple of steamers, a lone diesel, several passenger cars and some 2 axle freight cars My present layout is on a hobby table, but at one time there were two hobby tables and then 10 cars might have been a possibility. But with the 2' x 6' tram layout and a 2.5 x 5' train layout there is just not enough room. I find lists like this are a good way not to forget some trains.

You have a nice fleet of 313's. I too have quite a few of them and despite all of them looking pretty the same aside from the Central Liner, I still want them when a new variation is released.  And I have yet to ride on one of them but have admired them on the platforms at Nagoya.  It will be a priority on my next trip to Japan.

That's quite an extensive fleet of JR Tokais, including 211s! Nice! Now u probably need the 383 to complete the JR Tokai fleet!

I will probably leave it at this as the 313-1700 and 313-3000 are Iida Line trains and that was the original purpose to build an Iida Line based layout, after collecting more freight loco's I decided my fleet was getting a bit too big and diverse to be just based on that so I have decided to go for a more generic JR Tokai based theme. The 313-0 are nice as I want to run a neat 4 car set for local service, the 313-2300's will be coupled to the unpowered 211-5000 LL set making a 7 car peak hour commuter train whilst the 313-8000 will just be itself, a 6 car Central Liner service. I got to ride on a number of the 313 variants when I was in Japan last time when we were staying around Nagoya as well as using a 313-3000 on the Iida Line between Iida and Tenryukyo when we took a day trip up the line.

I will most likely add a 383 Series at some point in the future, I just have to figure out how many cars as I have been trying to limit the length of my passenger trains to a nice workable length of 7-8 cars long at the most, I would also like to add a 311 Series to the fleet but will have to wait for MicroAce to do a rerun as they were the only one to make them. On the diesel front I might get a KiHa 85 at some point but for the rest it will be a bit of a waiting game for MicroAce to do a rerun of the KiHa 11-0 and KiHa 11-300 in later guise with reinforced skirting, I will also have to wait and see if Kato will bring out a KiHa 25-0 as they have already done the KiHa 25-1000 variant.

I've been thinking about the 211 and 311 series off-and-on for awhile. As I have yet to buy any Greenmax or MicroAce sets, I would appreciate your opinion on the quality of your 211s. It looks like Greenmax updated their 211 sets (as 30772 and 30773) last year but they are in the $150+ USD range.

The 211-5000 are a nice model but they are somewhat pricey, the exterior details are pretty good and the 30686 motorized unit runs quite smoothly with the new chassis, the interior details aren't anything special but they do have a basic set up of the longitudinal seating that the class have, one great feature is that you can fit them with Tomix 0337 TN Couplers.

Finally managed to take pictures of my Japanese trains. I think I've got all of them, but not entirely sure 🙂

Wore out myself as well considering I took pictures of all the cases closed and opened for insurance purposes. Then I measured all of them, in case of a train with base set and add on set(s) I measured the sets separately, and then combined. Put them all on the track in the correct order, and then of course put them all back in their boxes again 😉

The length will be good to know once I have enough of a layout to start automating blocks and routes.

Now I need to do my non-Japanese stuff as well, and preferably also my other scales but at least I don't have that much of that stuff.

Very good boy! I am a bad boy on getting more of that done!

That will also stimulate the train dB juices.

I give our regular postman gift cards for his favorite sandwich shop every few months as he has to deliver so many sal packages from japan and 25 cent ebay packages from China. He’s very nice about it and always curious.

A few there I am jealous of including the "Peach" Nankai Rapi:t  (What I assume is a "Peach" variation -- the non dark blue one)

Don’t really have a regular postman here these days, almost always a different one. And they started delivering packages straight to the nearest pickup point instead of at my door, but luckily that’s only a 2 minute walk or so.

@chadbag that is the Peach Rapi:t yes, lovely paint scheme for that train, especially the white cabs fit very well.
