Wow. Just wow. this is bad news. Out of the 5 posters, I want the top 3 of them...

The GSE comes without TN couplers of course...

Yeah cause it's mentioned optional parts TN coupler 0337.... a bummer cause the cost is pretty high for a 7 car train...

It is pretty strange that it comes with observation deck interior lights? (if my limited Japanese is correct)…

I'm kinda envious of the Snow Rabbit Express 683 series in H0, I'd love to have that one in N, the livery looks so good. We only have the 681 series in that livery form Kato (I think, unless I missed something?).

Kato did BOTH the 681 series and 683 series Snow Rabbit sets, but they are long sold out...

There also seems to be an upcoming E3-700 Toreyu Tsubasa, and a 251 series Super View Odoriko, which are both only done by Kato so far...

Looks like I’m dodging a bullet again, gives me some more time to replenish the wallet after my September and October preorders.

Ohhh the JR East KiHa 100 is unexpected! I already have a small fleet of 20.5m long KiHa 110 by Kato, but the KiHa 100 Tomix will release have 17m bodies.

I want this, but I don't see a pre-order for it anywhere. Anyone know where it's being sold?

Looks like a planned item that is still in development. I didn't see a date on the poster.

Ayako was at this toy fair/event in her latest video. The same advertisement poster can be seen at 6:40

I am still debating on preordering that truck collection. See at 6:54.

Man, why does the Pinkansen have to come out the same month as the Seven Stars...

Yeah man… let's hope someone gets delayed!  😛

Did someone say bus? I didn't see any...   😞

Yeah now that you mentioned it, I initially thought it was a Kiha-110... is there a huge difference to them?

Aren't these releases dependent of the results of the (two) upcoming release contests? One for the Shinkansens and one for the Odorikos?

https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/img/pdf/Releasecontest.pdf

Yap it might look so... It seems like some sort of a contest, much like the DE10 contest before... It also looks like if the 300 series won then the E3-700 Toreyu will be made?

Don't get the Odorikos though...

Yeah I want one badly too! It seems like it's in Trailer collection 9 which is yet to be released... This makes having to buy a box just to secure one of these... smart move by Tomytec

Thanks for posting that video! The narration made it clearer to understand... You should order the truck collection, it looks just great with those mid length trucks!

Not really. From what I understand, if you buy one of the three shinkansen sets highlighted in the poster (0-7000 and 300-3000) you can cast your vote using the web address provided with the box. The 0-7000 are schedulded for release in October and the 300-3000 for January. The constest will be held between October 2018 and April 2019.

The Odorikos contest should (I guess) take place later in the year. Speculations, but I believe the people buying the 185 Series will be able to decide which one of the possible three releases will be produced.

From NGI tweeter feed: User participation plan following "Tomix DE election" received popularity last year "Tomix release contest" held! Questionnaire answer from the WEB address of the enclosed form in the target product. Product number 1 popular vehicle! Held twice in "Shinkansen edition" and "Odoriko".

Ahhh I see… not exactly the same as the DE10, where one can ONLY cast a vote based on the DE10 that they bought... so if I bought the 0 series I can also cast a vote for the E3-700 Toreyu? Interesting...

Wonder what the 3 dark shadows are... future Shinkansen releases?

Not so keen on the Odorikos… Since I already got them made by Kato so ~~   😛

Well, the main visual difference is the size. The Tomix release is the KiHa 100 2nd batch with 16.5m length, whilst the Kato release is the KiHa 110 with 20m length. Then there's also a bunch of different Greenmax releases as well. The different subseries are also used on different lines. There are also several technical differences, but Wikipedia already got that covered for you.

Does anyone have an idea as to when the TWR 70-000 Series will be released, given my wifes foray into the hobby with a Seibu 30000 in Gudetama wrapping and the highly possible purchace of the Rilakuma E231-500 I have the feeling that I am going to be sucked into the Tokyo commuter vortex. The TWR 70-000 Series run along the same section of track the Saikyo and Shonan Shinjuku Line trains run on between Takadonobaba and Shinjuku, it looks like Shin Okubo here I come.

Its a minor series, only 8 trains, and has been offered by Micro Ace twice before.

The TWR 70-000 Series doesn't worry me, the fact that the former Yamanote freight line runs through there as well as the Yamanote Line and the Seibu Shinjuku Line means there are 3 JR East suburban lines as well as 2 Private operators which amounts to a fairly vast array of suburban stock that goes through there.

And a Kiha-181, https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/img/20180808-3.pdf

And many other re-releases. I am glad this round I am free from ordering trains, cause Tomytec has already killed me.

FWIW it's still technically the Yamanote Freight Line, and I think there are still a few freight movements along it.

You can also add Tobu (Spacia), Narita Express, and sundry other limited express trains which occasionally run to/from Shinjuku, Ikebukuro etc.
