I only see one thing there that vaguely interests me, and Kato already makes it. And the Kato version is designed for their drop in DCC decoder. And the Tomix version will likely come in 6 seperate sets, the starter set container just the middle powered car whose wheels will be sold as a later add-on. Stores will always be sold out of at least one of the add-on sets, making it impossible to get the whole thing at once.

Well if you have a look at my avatar it's clear that I like the E259 a lot....

 

But after making some TOMIX and Micro Ace buys I maybe prefer to wait for the KATO version. Every TOMIX and Micro Ace delivery had some flaws. My 100 Series Shinkansen from Micro Ace had some paint job problems and one pantho is missing. The TOMIX ones tend to look a bit 'toylike'...
