DCCing Tomix Sets & Locs

Browsing through the Japanese Internet, I found this blog where the user seem to have DCCed quite a number of Tomix sets and locomotives.

I was particularly impressed by the latter, where he decided to place the decoder in one of the roof details.

I am leaving this here, in a separate thread, as I didn't really want the resource to be lost in the rest of the Tomix thread.

No, but maybe you can draw inspiration from his work.

There is a more in depth post about the conversions of an EF64 , where he placed the decoder inside a roof detail.

Apparently a 4-hour job. He makes DCCing a Tomix locomotive look like an easy task.

edit: And two others where he details how he DCCed two EF65 (including milling of a metal frame/weight).

I am part way DCCing a Tomix EF210 (from the basic freight set).  Including adding in some extra lights (so that you can have rear and front lights separately).  I had it working but ended up shorting something out while testing and have since re-done a lot in a simpler fashion.  But I never got it finished.   I plan on it and will right it up someday.
