Well, I live near by and I keep talking to the guy that's heading this project, and I'm planning on helping with the repairs. Its going to be cool to work on. Never thought I would be doing this, but man I dont want to miss this opportunity!

 

The boiler only has a thin layer of rust, the breaks are functional, the cylinders are not rusted at all although the gaskets may need replaced, and overall its in fairly good condition other than the lubricator that ether needs a lot of work or replaced. They project 5 years of work, but after learning about the state, could take less. But they are only going to be working on it every other Saturday, so who knows.

 

Hope I can be the fireman on it at least once!
