3 sets of Kato E233-0 series?

Hi all,

i want to buy kato E233-0 and E233-3000, but at kato website there is 3 sets E233-0 (10-801/10-1311/10-1473) and 2 sets E233-3000 (10-1150/10-1267), can someone tell me what is the difference?

are all the sets dcc friendly?

For starters, the 10-801/10-1473 with accompanying add-on sets are for reproducing Chuo Rapid E233-0 series 6+4 car formations. The 10-1311 with accompanying add-on sets is for reproducing Chuo Rapid E233-0 series 10-car formations. Except for the running numbers, I am not sure of the exact difference between both 6+4 car sets.

 

As for the E233-3000, both sets are again very similar with the main differences being running numbers. However, the 10-1150 is intended for Takasaki Line / Utsunomiya Line usage, whilst the 10-1267 runs on the Tokaido / Ueno-Tokyo Line.
