Esslinger Type GT4 from Stuttgart in Kochi still with its German advertising and destination signs, which it proudly wears to this day (Now used in Fukui) https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tosadentetsu_735_stuttgart.jpg

From 1981 Hiroshima received several Duewag type GT8 from Dortmund. One of them is now used as a cafe next to the depot.  https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:TRAIN_VERT_Express_20120715-4.JPG

And probably the most well known; The KSW/Aufbauwagen which the city of Hanover gifted to Hiroshima in 1988 https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/広島電鉄200形電車_(2代)

Remember to never run joint consists of Keikyu and JR West rolling stock on your layout, as this is not according to prototype.

Don't make weird slopes to connect your private railway line to the Shinkansen viaduct on your layout! That's just completely unrealistic. #echizenshinkansen

In Japan signboards always hang tidily attached to the ceiling of the station hall, so make sure they do so on your layout as well!

Modemo makes a number of Tokyu 300 trams, but they are the older solid color scheme, before the ads were applied to the sides. If Modemo made this one, there might be licensing problems with the Goto-kuji Temple. But it would be sold out in the blink of an eye. I wonder why the Setagaya Line doesn't commission Modemo to make a set for them to sell at three stations that are manned.

Japanese trains are always in perfect shape, and are never missing parts unlike our models.

It's newspapers, not mail.

There is a thread for this:

or fish...

This might be the reason many old time (pre 101 series) emu cars had a dedicated baggage section and later there were dedicated baggage/mail motors.

If those baggage/mail compartments were meant for fish they would have called them fish compartments...

I seem to remember seeing a piece specifically on fish delivery being a long standing tradition of using the regular cars innvery early morning service where very few other riders. Then allows double use.

It's been a while (well 20 years or so) since I've seen any mompe-clad  baa-chans heading into the big city with rucksacks full of produce.
