Confused with new Tomix Finetrack.

So but I decided to go with Tomix instead of KATO. Since all my attempts to come up with a layout plan that I like failed, I chose to go with the Tomix plan in the Tomix Guide 2014-2015, with a view modifications.

For this I need 6 each of Tomix 1161(DC317-45/280/45) and Tomix 1162 (DC391-45/354-45).

Both tracks are sold out from the sites I know, so I have to use the new Tomix tracks.

This might seems like a dumb question, but I'm not 100% sure on this:

Lets say I want to make the Tomix 1161 with the new system, do I have to use 2 Tomix 1172 (C371-45WP), or one 1172 (C371-45WP) and one 1171(C280-45WP)? Sorry if this is obvious, but its just one of these days!!!

The Cxxx-yy numbers are the curve radius and the size in degrees. The double track packs were 45x2=90 degrees of 280+317 and 354+391. You will need c280, c317, c354 and c391 (-wp45) single track packs to replace them.

Also your set numbers are somewhat off as 117x is single viaduct track, not the ground level wide variant (177x) you mentioned.

Thanks for clearing this up. That is my problem. The 1161/62 are the old Tomix Trax. They took them out of the new Tomix Guide and I can't find them anymore online,so I have to use the single ones to make a two lane viaduct.

Tomix seems to be going toward using its Wide Track pieces, with supports and walls/fences needing to be added to create viaduct tracks of any combination.
