They are much nicer than expected, very well packaged and lots of brass details.  Also they come with a removable coal load which exactly fits a 40' iso container in the well.  And what's more, the case has removable foam to allow you to store loaded gondolas with aftermarket containers loaded, very nicely done!

Very nice! Do they also come with rapido couplers?

As I do not like the clear plastic boxes most single cars and locos come in, I always order some book cases for my train storage needs.

This one was currently the most annyoing and time consuming to fit inside. But after about an hour with an xacto knive, all cars fit (Steering car still missing).

Are these empty KATO boxes or new ones? Since IC2000 cars fit perfectly in CASCO foam

Thanks for sharing this Yavianice! Any chance you could make a thread about this, and explain how to choose a Casco or Kato case for a specific need. I've found it difficult and frustrating.

Glad I could be of assistance. Oh so you also got the MP36, very nice and it looks like you already got the detail pieces on the Amtrak.  Just let me know if there's anything else you may want. 🙂

Nah, the BR 65.10 didn't live to see those. I mean the old coupled coaches released by Piko and then re-released by Minitrix (with Piko's molds). Someone should just make them new from scratch.

Went to a local exhibition. Came back with a 1/87 model of Willy Brandt. Ideal for our club layout...he was mayor of West Berlin until the mid-60s.

After a long wait, finally received the Minitrix "Rheingold" BR101 yesterday. And immediately returned it because it was broken on arrival 😡. But did make a few pictures besides my Rheingold BR103.

My 101 112 also arrived broken. It sits simply too lose  in the box, so it keeps sliding around, hitting its buffer on the insiert. The buffer is plastic so go figure.

Anyway, some photos before it goes back and hopefully returns(?)

I posted about the mis-direction of my Amazon (JP) DHL delivery in the Japanese topic of the same name, but since the train is actually a Rhätische Bahn / Swiss train, I will post it here.   The misdirected package went from Osaka to Cincinnati to Salt Lake City (where it should have stayed) to Long Beach CA to Los Angeles CA and then back to Cincinnati then to Salt Lake City, where it was put on the truck and dropped off today.   I can't complain too much.   DHL has been good and cheap from Japan and as this was shipped Sunday Japan time and delivered to me Wednesday US time, I'll take it  🙂

Also shown are three Arnold coaches with the Lufthansa Express livery.  These came a few weeks ago and are thanks to @Yavianice who spotted them on eBay in Germany for me and arranged their purchase, as he remembered me having mentioned I was looking for reasonably priced ones to go with  my Arnold BR111 in Lufthansa livery I had gotten on the US eBay site for a reasonable price a while back, and had no coaches for it.

You are welcome @chadbag!

I was on a business trip to Malaysia when I went into a model train store called "Truly Trains" which was TRULY AMAZING! It's a treasuretrove with a large collection of old Minitrix sets in brand new condition for reasonable prices. Check them out here. They don't have a webshop, but you can just mail them if you are looking for a specific TRIX set or cars or loco's manufacturered between 2009-2014, and see if they have them (they have around 8000 items for sale, N gauge and HO gauge and some other accessories). They also exclusively sell Minitrix.

What I got is the following: The Minitrix 11621 "Sendung Mit Der Maus Schowtrain", a kids TV show that I grew up with when living in Germany! Never even seen it on ebay or second hand shop, and there it was, just waiting to be purchased for a very reasonable price in unused condition. Couldn't leave it in Kuala Lumpur.

For those wondering, this is a real livery. I didn't know it either at first, until someone pointed it out to me.

Wow that's quite a nice find! Congratz!

The E03 is my first loco with sound. I love how it even works in analog mode.
