What is the color of the floor of the Tobu 20000 Series 3 door train. I installed the lights in my N Scale model (Micro Ace A7970) , and the floor is a light green, so its like a sun is inside the wagons. My Eidan Series 03 has the same lights, but brown floors, and its not shiny at all. I cant find any pictures from the 20000 series  inside, but if I remember right, the floor was also brown? If it was the shiny green, how can I make the light softer?

Maybe they went with green to match the seats rather than the floor?

I think MicroAce is pretty focused on seats. Painting the head rests on Limited Express models and such.

The old MicroAce E653 Series is a very bad example. The original seats were purple with yellow headrests. So guess what?

I've been having a similar issue with my Kato kiha 80 cars. Kato made the color of the floor the same as the seat color, and now with lights they look like a rainbow going down the track. I've been planing to paint the floors, which hopefully will help with the colored glare issue.

Might also think of adding a pot into the lighting board to be able to turn them down some as well. I've noticed most car lghitng sets at usually running speeds throw very bight light!

What is a pot? Painting the floor is a great idea. I'll try that. Guess brown is ok than.

Sorry, a potentiometer or pot is a variable resistor that can be used to add a bit more resistance to the led lighting board circuit and make the lights dimmer. Some use fixed resistors to bump up the resistance on lighting boards to dim them, but a variable resistor lets you dial in what every brightness you like.

Darker floors will probably help a lot and use a matte paint. Seats are also unnaturally shiny as well.

This is where a laser cutter would be handy, just lay out the series of squares to cut out for seats and you could zap up a nice floor piece out of light construction paper to just pop in a car to give it that fitted carpet feel. Then easy just paint the seats and floors and drop the flooring strip over it. Same goes for the interior walls over the clear glass panel inserts.

The Tobu 20000 that traveled on the Hibiya line had light green seats if my memory serves me correctly.

Post some pics of your set!!   Its a very rare train I cant find any at market price, cant believe the lowly Hibiya-Tobu line would be so coveted.

I bought it, since it was the first Train I used (after the Kesei Skyliner), when I visited Tokyo the first time. It took me from Ueno to Kita-senju. It got released when I visited a second time, so I could pick it up directly from Nariichi san from Modeltrainplus.
