Micro Layout - Help Needed

The majority of the modules of this proposed layout are already finished and I need to get my act together and work on the two corner modules. I guess someone has to give me a strong kick into my lower backside!

 

Meanwhile I have been looking at some pictures of the initial set-up of this layout and dared to hone my Photoshop skills on one of them by adding a better looking backdrop instead of that wood chip wall paper background.

That looks great!  I'm also just back like you and glad to have you back.  Your mini-modules are as always an inspiration.

 

For your urban end, do you use Google Earth?   I found it essential in my t-trak module, I just follow the railway line and when I see something interesting 

I just change to street view and take screenshots.

I use variuos different sources of inspiration. Google Maps is one of them, but I also employ Youtube and any other source to tickle my imagination.

 

We are living in great times when it comes to info for modelling purposes!

Thanks for sharing Sir Madog, I've always found your work to be hugely inspirational! That coastal railway scene looks really good, I may have to try to make something similar!

Ulrich did an article on his modules for the JRM website a couple of years back and there is an attached photo album with more Picts. They are very inspirational and a great example of the U shaped modules.

Thanks, Jeff - that’s exactly what I was looking for!  I remember quite a few years ago Ulrich posted on RMweb that he had moved on from this concept, but it was a great example of limited space scenic modeling.
