Thanks for the posts, Bill.  I was surprised to see in that first video the two A3000 cars at the end of a freight train.  I don't think I've ever seen new equipment moved like that before.  I'm also a bit surprised that there's no connection anywhere between Shizutetsu and JR.

Oh no - I'm a sucker for these 2 car EMU's and they will come in different colors too. And will most definitely lean towards the Greenmax.

In the past most of the Shizuoka Railway equipment was home built until 1973 when the first of the Tokyu Car Company stainless steel units were delivered.
