I found another Hiroden Tomytec model the other day.  It's a 1000 Greenmover LEX.

This blog has photos along with the 1000 PICCOLA issued later.  http://crimson.blog.jp/archives/1894632.html

IIRC I already posted about the Tomytec special release Greenmover LEX before. Because Kato has now announced that they're doing the LEX as well, you could consider the Tomytec model obsolete anyways.

An interesting video of Hiroden trams taken in January 2017 on a dead end street leading to a tram only bridge. It seems to early morning with some small vans making quick stops at local businesses. I'm surprised the new cars haven't cleared out more of the old cars. But it just be line 3 which has very heavy AM rush.

Sorry, as soon as I posted that I went back and saw your posts.

My thinking is that Tomytec will reissue the Greemover LEX.  By 2027 it will be 40 cars and the largest single tam fleet of the same design  in Japan. Can't see Tomytec passing that market up.

I didn't know that Kato are doing a Hiroden Type 5000.  Can someone post up a link please?  I've searched the Kato website and HS and found nothing.

Kato isn't doing the 5000 type 'Green Mover', but they are doing the 1000 type 'Green Mover LEX'.

Hiroshima trams in February 2018, mainly on lines 1, 3, and 5 towards Ujina port.  Video by SKR3000.
