My first scratch skyscraper attempt (updated)

Well today instead of doing what I should have been doing I decided to build a skyscraper. I was tired of seeing those 6 story buildings and wanted a 20 story building. Right now it looks like a cereal box but I waiting for some stuff to dress it up. I really like those old Atlas skyscraper with the mirrored facades so that what Im trying to achieve. Below are some building photos of my skyscraper, its not finished of course so this building may morph into something bigger than what it currently is.

Hey domino if I can build a skyscraper anyone can, that guy makes some nice buildings and gave me some great ideas too. The prices on those buildings are very good. Hopefully I'll finish this project, its just waiting for the items needed to finish it takes some time. Thanks for the compliment on the building.

The cantilevered bit is interesting, but I doubt a real building could be built that way. Nevertheless, you might take inspiration from this similarly designed building in Brisbane:

Notice the bit at the top that pokes out, and is supported by long steel columns. You might could achieve a similar look with your building by using styrene tubes to support the otherwise-cantilevered portion.

Thats a great suggestion I have some PVC tubing that I'll use, it could double as an elevator as well as support for the upper tower. Take a look at my blog and tell me what you think.

maybe think clear acrylic tubing for the elevator columns. its pretty cheap to get a 6' length of the 1/16" wall stuff. make a cool clear elevator.

just glue some strips of styrene on the side as the elevator track and put them in the middle between a couple of solid supports. think of the great view it would have
