Laminated, plate or APG glass.

APG toughened glass safest around children. Just it the heaviest and most expensive

Hi clam,

It’s 6mm toughened,quite heavy but it’s not going anywhere.

the said culprit who can t keep his hands off is Harry, five years old,had a sleepover on Friday night and I was In Work 6am Saturday morning, when I came home at 12 the two trains were lying on their side in the middle and all the cars and buses were all over the place, bless him,he must have had a right good time with no one watching him,but luckily no harm was done, hence the reason for the glass. I m just praying he does nt take a hammer to it to get to the trains when I m not here!😂😂👍

Toc’s modules are all done. 4 double full depth and 4 corners. All fixed for a small sectional Ttrak layout. We got all the holes drilled for track screws, so all ready to go. Onto the next batch!

cheers

Keep working on my designs skills.

It took me some time to complete the piece shown below (inside of yellow square) due to its shape.

The video below is a quick test of the "U" turn section in my module.

I have to say it was quite tricky to get it right, there was no room for error. Cheers.

I put some street lights and home made blossom trees, they not so good, but until i can do better it's ok. The streets got some cars, pedestrians and students:

Hi Jeff!

Thanks, I use Tamiya plastic 1-2-3mm square beams and 0,5-1mm plastic sheets, the sides from a Kato 23-200 station parts, I cut them from the previous building.

Added some street lights, cars and buses with lights and building lights.

i ve slipped up with the car lights,I thought they had front and rear lights but they do nt,only an interior light, problem is I ve had most of this stuff for 2-3 years and just trying to make use of it on here.

I know Sammy is going to crucify me on here for these “cheap cars and buses” but it s better than just leaving them in the shed!!

be gentle Sammy👍😂😂😂

now to make some sense of this lot!!

Have fun mate and glad to see your progress as always, which makes me very ashamed of my own progress!

And yes, pls do change out the buses and cars when you can, eh?  😛

I managed to edit a video of my module with all the printed bus lanes.

I am also checking where to put some buildings, apparently there is no much space...

I made stairs for a platform.

On the left are the "original" stairs, my stairs are on the RHS of the pic.

Actually I was making more stairs but I have to admit I am not following any design or example.

I am just trying to fit some stairs (and footpath) in the space I got available.

Nx,

your extrusion printer’s resolution works well for these details and gives a nice concrete feel. Have you tried painting with any of the filler paints on your prints? What’s the print resolution of these?

thanks

Thanks! Yes, the details are quite good.

I am thinking about changing the design of the footpath so there is not need for using filler paints at this moment.

However, I painted the stairs (but I didnt use putty filler) cos' I just wanted to see how similar or different these look against the "original" stairs.

The printer has a head nozzle of 0.4mm and the setup has a layer height is 0.1mm.

I am planning to buy a better filament on these days. Now, I have a very affordable one from ebay and I can tell that its quality is not the best.

Hope the information helps. Cheers!
