Just searched for it online and found the english subtitled version. The only thing i can say is: oh god.

The best thing about it is that the German narrator is well known for actual serious educational films.

On a similar vein - but a good 50 years before - check out the British Transport films 'The Third Sam'

A training film from the days when we have them new-fangled electric locomotives.

 

This was from the days that British Rail had its own film unit; and produced some high-quality stuff.

 

Incidentally, the narrator was the great Stanley Holloway; one of a long-gone generation of gentleman actors who would be a perfect 'have a pie and a pint with' characters.
