Any info about a EVA 500 series in HO?

A friend would like to know if there is any info about the EVA coming out in HO.

The only HO scale 500 series model I know of was a collaboration between Tenshodo and Bachmann. That's been out of production for some years now, so I'd be surprised if it gets re-released.

Considering the 4x price tag on HO items from Tenshodo compared to N.  I'd hate to know the pricing of a final product in HO.  $1000-$1200?

It wouldn't be cheap, that's for sure. Even my son's Kato E5 in HO was a rather expensive addition to our fleet. But worth every cent just for the look of utter delight on his face when he unwrapped the package! :)

 

If the 500 series does get re-released I hope he doesn't find out about it, because I'm sure he'd want one, and I'd find it very hard to say no.

Hopefully Kato decides to pick this up and do it in HO, so that they might still stand a fighting chance against Tomix over the EVA 500, being the one to release the HO version of it ~~

 

Let's hope, though I do not think it will be the same price tag like the HO E5 being licensed and limited and all...
