Modeling 101

Instead of running trains, I decided to do some detailing work and hone my modeling skills.

 

Tools all laid out and sanitized.

Haha, thanks for the kind words Bernard but the C56 is far from finish. I thought I'd get an HO model to hone my modeling skills but oh man there's a lot to do with this little guy as Mark has mentioned. My modeling experience is from building 1/10 scale R/C cars and it's not quite translating to installing really really small detailed parts. I need lots of practice and patience.

Haha nice ~ It's nice to work on the trains and add minor details that matter so much when seen close ~ That C56 is great looking by the way!  :)

Looks good to me, I think you must have more patience than you give yourself credit for. When you see how good the finished C56 looks you'll be glad you detailed it. Then you can think about a bit of weathering... :)
