Nankai Electric Railway Co. showcased a special train to residents of the area along the Kada Line at Kada Station in Wakayama on April 28. Themed on red sea bream, Medetai Train (“tai” means red sea bream in Japanese) was introduced as part of a Kada Line project to promote the railway, which operates in an area where fishing is a major industry. Red sea bream is one of the main products in the area. With a pattern of fish scales drawn on its pink body, the train also includes upholstery and fixtures with a variety of designs in the motif of the fish. It began operating from April 29.
