Amazing how nice the polished up the car, looks brand new! Not to mention the shops look cleaner than many restaurant kitchens I've seen!

Whoops missed that line! Thought it looked toooo shiny and no dings at all! Looks so slick that if you touched it it would squirt away!

Yes, one of the small things i like about japanese trains is that they mostly look as clean as brand new ones. Even last run sets are repainted just days before being retired. (sometimes it feels like the old ones are actually held together by the shiny paint) I think for this event, the shop was cleaned especially throughly.

By looking at the couplers, it seems to me that the answer is both. (although by the classic Thomas standards, locomotives and freight cars seem to be male and multiple units and coaches seem to be female and dr yellow is an emu)

I've heard folks comment when they have seen these shops on non open house days that they are kept pretty spotless then as well.
