1954G Posted July 2, 2015 Share Posted July 2, 2015 This June Kato announced that its Orient Express model had won Model of the Year honors from the Fédération Française de Modélisme Férroviaire. French magazine Le Train also awarded the model its Le Rail d'Or prize. (Based on what I could glean using Google Translate, the FFMF seems to be an umbrella organization for French model railway clubs). Kato proudly posted these two awards on its website and Twitter feed. I'd imagine that Kato often wins honors like these from Japanese magazines and railfan clubs, but maybe winning European awards is a rarer achievement for the company. 1 Link to comment
