    JAM convention magazine

Noticed this at the local bookstore- it's a special edition magazine about the 2015 JAM convention, from the publishers of RM Models. Lots of pics of layouts- a few very good modular layouts and dioramas in HO and N that are very prototypical, not just the roundy-roundies with lots of viaducts and minimal scenery. https://www.neko.co.jp/?p=104205
  2. Hi All, The January/February issue of N-Scale magazine has my article about my Midoriyama railroad in it. It was a lot of fun to do and I hope it will lead to more interest in Japanese railroad modeling. Thanks to you all for the inspiration. Rick Campbell
  3. Modellers may enjoy this pictorial magazine spanning all gauges and genres of Japanese railroad modelling. Gohachi magazine is named after the EF58, known as gohachi to its fans. Past editions can be found here. Or find special editions grouped under these categories: live steam and gauge 1, pickups, multiple units, electric locos, diesel units, passenger coaches and steam locomotives. Of interest? It seems a pretty polished magazine.
  4. Hachette Japan has released the first issue of a series of magazines that will enable purchasers to build a 725mm X 1278mm freight-themed layout. The length of freight cars and freight trains lends themselves well to having a reasonably proportioned compact tailchaser layout. http://www.kamotsu.jp/home.html
  5. Just want to recommend the latest issue of Japan Railfan Magazine, especially those interested in older rolling stock. The edition has a special section on the design and coloring of JNR's rolling stock from the late 50's to early 60's, and includes a nice fold out plate and color pictures. Also an insert for major private railway rolling stock rosters as of April of this year, very informative. http://railf.jp/japan_railfan_magazine/point/628.html
