Help - train fell apart (Tomix) trying to repair

Thanks all - it now runs, not very well but it doesn't derail as long as I don't go too fast, I don't think it will ever be the same though!

So you want to try Tomix FineTrack?

This was drawn for me on my layout design thread - so my understanding is I could do this and the outer loop would be double tracked instead.

So you want to try Tomix FineTrack?

Thanks yes - my thinking was to connect the inner loop to the outer loop with a double crossover and run three controllers (one for each loop?) And then add sidings to the middle to store trains?
  4. Hi I'm back with a question! Why does this guy use two curved turnouts instead of trying to find a space on the straights to put in a PX280 double crossover? this seems like a waste of money and unrealistic?

So you want to try Tomix FineTrack?

Hi all - what is the best way to use the HC set as an outside loop when I already own an A set?

Help - train fell apart (Tomix) trying to repair

Hi all thanks for the advice. I have taken a video of offending central bogey to show you the looseness - basically it doesnt put any pressure onto the track and ends up loose and off the train.

What did you do on your layout today?

Your stuff is inspirational! What a happened to your big Japanese set in the wood lodge the last update I saw was July 2017?

What did you do on your layout today?

Painted a board for a semi permanent 4’ x 2’ mini setup figure trains on the outside, trams on the side and a tomytec bus? A lot to cram in! Its actually on top of a fish tank cabinet instead of a fish tank!

Help - train fell apart (Tomix) trying to repair

Not sure if relevant but the only other part I could find easily was this one
  10. Hi all I own a JR EF66 unfortunately I was too enthusiastic and on an r280 curve it flew off and landed 4 foot onto the floor and exploded. I was able to get the front and rear wheels back on - the middle one however is very loose and can’t seem to stay on the track. please help google didn’t bring up any obvious manuals solutions or parts. I love the EF66 it’s my first train! pictures shows the loose movement on the bottom. cheers

Tomix Thomas & friends, infos required

Awesome yes I noticed the buffers even looked unwieldy on the R280. I will probably create a mini R140 loop and probably not use Annie/ Clarabel and find some more mini rolling stock. Out of interest what is the most maneuverable tram/ trolley you have as I only have a 4'x2' space so the outer ring is very small, and basically would have no space in the inner ring but want to push the boundaries of how many trains/ tracks I can fit into 4X2 Thanks.

Tomix Thomas & friends, infos required

Hi all, Rather than opening up a new thread - I am the proud of owner of a new Thomas N Scale - something I've wanted for a long time without spending almost $1000! Thanks TOMIX! I am space confined and want to make the very smallest possible layout (circular) with as much rolling stock as possible. Two questions: 1. What is the smallest radii - is it 140 is there anything smaller? 2. What are some very 'short' rolling stock passenger or freight that I could buy that would not look out of place on such small radii. By the way I LOVE the train - I have a JR DE10 and JR EF66 and this is the smoothest train so far. very quiet as well. In love.. putting in an order for James now haha.

What did you order or the post deliver?

Oh I wasn't looking for additional for the EF66, the box set comes as a the engine + 4 carriages, not sure what prototype is, but I thought 5 car lenghts was plenty for my little starter layout. More looking at things for the DE10 to pull along, it seems like quite a strong puller so I could probably stick lots of (not sure the name) carriages? behind it.

yeh! i know nothing about trains, so I just bought a freight I liked the look of, I am very pleased with how smoothly both the blue train and the DE10 runs, I would like to get more things for the train to pull along though.
